Viera Scheibner - Very outspoken and popular antivaccine advocate who believes that cases of “shaken baby syndrome” are actually the result of adverse reactions to pertussis vaccine. Frequently quoted by other antivaccine individuals and groups. As Viera Scheibnerovà she was an assistant professor in the Dept. of Geology at Comenius University in Bratislava until 1969. She then immigrated to Australia and was a member of the Geological Survey of New South Wales until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. A medline search of the indexed peer reviewed literature covering some 3,600 health related journals reveals that Ms. Scheibner has never published a single study on human health. Scheibner has no training in the health sciences. Her book, “Vaccination: The Medical Assault on the Immune System” is offered for sale on the NVIC web site, where she is listed as a “research scientist.”
